First and foremost, we are all emotional people
Emotions are a natural part of being human. We experience a myriad of emotions constantly. Many of us ignore them or let them control us. We need to flip that to be the one in charge.
From the time we are born, we react emotionally to events. These experiences become triggers as we get older. We ascribe value to emotions. For example, being angry is bad, we shouldn’t be sad, and happiness is meant to be the universal emotion.
The thing is that we can’t be happy all the time. In fact, if we are only happy, we miss much of what makes life, life.
Life is messy and chaotic; to truly experience it, we must fully experience emotions. That said, emotion without logic is where we run into problems.
You are allowed to be angry
Being angry with someone when they let you down is perfectly valid. Being angry is not bad. But, if we let ourselves be angry and the anger is expressed by us yelling, berating or hitting another person. That is not appropriate.

Instead. It is better to understand that right now, I am angry. I am angry because this person let me down. My emotions are…
