Member-only story

I’m choosing to be a writer.

Life is about choices. Choices allow us the opportunity to move forward in life. I made a choice several years ago to become a writer. Since I write most days, I now call myself a writer. My next objective is to get paid to write.

So why write?

I enjoy writing, and it’s something I can do to achieve flow. When I get into a story, I lose myself, and my brain creates all the details. I find it easy to get lost in the world and character creation.

Choices I have made to be a writer.

I write most days, even when I don’t feel like it or have nothing to say. It’s better to write five hundred words that don’t make a great story but to have pushed myself to write.

I have joined an editing group and am now choosing to wake up at 4:55 am every Friday to join the group. Every Friday, I have the choice to get up or not. I am yet to regret choosing to do this.

I write on the weekends when I’m chilling on the couch. I can write a couple of thousand words most weekends by making this choice.

Choices moving forward
