I spend a lot of time researching and trialling productivity options. I have a genuine curiosity and a personal drive to be productive. I want to be effective because I started working for myself from home two and a half years ago.

Working from home and for myself was a significant change for me, and as I didn’t have a lot of paid work, I felt uncomfortable not doing anything productive with my day. To help me manage my feelings of self-loathing, I planned what activities might lead to paid work.

I started writing, which led me to publish on Medium. I’m still not earning any money from this, but I have grown and developed as a writer, so I’ll take that as a win.

I did a lot of research.

Once I’d done the research, I challenged myself with how do I use the knowledge.

I took what I had learnt and wrote it down.

I created several training modules based on what I wrote. I have used content created during this time, so this was a productive use of my time.

Personal Development

I challenged myself to do a lot of personal development. I undertook Coursera courses, Skillshare classes, LinkedIn classes and YouTube classes. I learnt about topics that would be helpful from business and personal perspectives.
