Well, it’s that time of year again.

The space between the crazy of Christmas and the ringing in of the New Year. This time last year, I was plugging away at my goal of riding 1000km between Christmas Eve to Jan 6.

Today, I’d be lucky if I could ride five kilometres.

Energy is finite. In 2022, I spent my energy writing, not exercising. I have written a vast amount, but it has come at the cost of my exercise routine.

Last year my riding challenge took so much all my energy. I had no bandwidth to spare to do my annual goal-setting, reflection and review. I have done a couple of exercises during the year, but I felt behind the eight ball for the most part.

This year I am determined to set my upcoming year’s goals now. To look back at 2022 and ask myself three questions.

  • What worked?
  • What didn’t work?
  • What can I do better/differently this year?

What worked?

I had a great year with my business. I was the busiest I had been, which has shown in my increase in invoicing. This increase was a significant accomplishment, and I am proud of this achievement. So hats off to that.
