When my son started dating I told him the best way to connect with women (girls, he was a boy at the time) was to genuinely listen to the girl he took on a date. To ask her questions about her and not just talk about himself. He's been with his girlfriend for more than a year now. I'm raising my boys to be fully functional adults who can be a partner not a millstone.
